Eat Alberta First
Eat Alberta First
Equal parts cookbook and manifesto, this beautifully photographed collection is the ultimate guide to local eating in Alberta all through the year.
This is Karen's newest cookbook, it has 90 recipes celebrating Alberta's farmers, ranchers, and food artisans. The book is divided into seasons with mini workshops on sourdough, foraging, and canning, and includes beautiful photography of food and landscapes. The recipes are organized by skill level and there is a chapter on hosting feasts. Some recipes include Morel Mushroom Cheese Spread, Slow-Cooked Alberta Bison, and Summer’s Every Fruit Cake. Karen Anderson, the author, is a Taste Canada, IPPY, and World Gourmand award-winning writer and the founder of Alberta Food Tours.
This would make a great addition to our Dirty Apron Gift Box
